CASWA's 2023 Book Fairy Project

Over the last couple of years as part of the global 16days of activism against gender-based violence and abuse, which runs from the 25^th of November to the 10^th of December. We’ve put on our wings and ran our Book Fairy Project! 2023 was no different! For the 3^rd year running we distributed books across Caithness and Sutherland to raise awareness of the work we do and the 16days campaign.

Our Fairies travelled across all of Caithness and Sutherland, covering nearly 600 miles to deliver books to as many places they could! We would however like to acknowledge that this year due to our fairies being VERY busy we never made it as far out west as we have done in previous years!

Early November prior to the 16days campaign we reached out to our Social media followers asking for some recommendations for books and we are thankful for everyone who commented!

Our Book Fairies were surprised this year with a visit from Mrs Claus who gifted the Faires with a lovely letter and some books to read which have been added to our reading lists for the new year!
