- Domestic Abuse Specialist – Children and Young People’s Service
Salary: £25,218 (based on 35 hours)
Hours: 21–28 per week
Location: Dornoch with frequent travel across Caithness & Sutherland (applicants wishing to be based in Thurso will also be considered)
About Us
Caithness & Sutherland Women’s Aid (CASWA) is seeking two dedicated and compassionate professionals to join our team. These roles offer a unique opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of women, children, and young people affected by domestic abuse. What You’ll Do
- Deliver one-to-one and group support that is person-centred and led by the needs of women, children and young people.
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to achieve the best outcomes.
- Contribute to awareness-raising initiatives that strengthen understanding of domestic abuse and its impact.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and adaptability.
- Experience supporting individuals in a similar environment.
- SVQ qualification in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this).
- An understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women, children, and young people.
- A proactive, team-focused approach to service development.
Additional Requirements
- Full driving licence and access to transport.
- PVG Enhanced Disclosure check.
- Ability to provide support across Caithness and Sutherland.
